  Notes	Ruth E. Schubmehl, 71, of Lackawanna St., Wayland, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 1994 at Noyes Memorial Hospital, Dansville. Mrs. Schubmehl was born March 19, 1922 in South Dansville, a daughter of Erwin and Lorena (Wellington) Lander. She was a former employee of Stern & Stern Textiles, Birdseye Corp., and A.B. Cowles Co. until 1967. She was a member of the Theodore VanTassel American Legion Post Women's Auxiliary in Wayland and a past member of the Women of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge #1030, Dansville. She was a very active bingo enthusiast. She was predeceased by her husband Glenn C. Schubmehl on Jan. 16, 1977, a brother Earl Lander on May 15, 1981, and a sister Mildred Simons on Aug. 30, 1982. She is survived by a son, John E. Schubmehl of Wayland; 2 daughters, Carol Coots of Canaseraga and Donna Brownell of Wayland; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Milton Lander of Dansville and Elmer Lander of Atlanta; 3 sisters, Florence Harloff of Naples, Cecil Curtis of Mt. Morris and Doris Alger of Silver Creek; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends called 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, 1994 at the Walter E. Baird & Sons Funeral Home, Wayland, where funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial was in Village Cemetery, Wayland.
