  Notes	At his home in Lyon Street, this village, on July 6, 1921, occurred the death of Shepard Rowell, after a long illness. He was a son of David and Lucinda French Rowell, and was born in Lima on October 2. 1838. After reaching manhood he was a successful hotel keeper, having conducted hostelries in Cohocton and Wayland. He was a veteran of the Civil War. He removed from Wayland to Naples a year ago last spring. He is survived by his wife, who before marriage was Miss Elizabeth Hunt. Funeral services will be held from the home at 2 p. m. on Sunday, and interment will be made in the Hunts Hollow cemetery. (Naples Record 6 July 1921)
