John D. Gallagher was the son of Catherine and William Gallagher. When he was 10 years old he moved to Pittsburgh. He was an employee of Excelsior Flint Glass Co., and when the company moved to New Kensington (Westmoreland County, Pa) from it's original Pittsburgh location, he moved with it. Mr. Gallagher died from complications resulting from an operation. He was survived by his wife and 3 sisters, one of whom was Mrs. Seth Clover (Mary Agnes) Rogers, of 622 Dallas Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA.
