Notes - Jesse was the son of Amos Gray and Mary Elizabeth Hiles. Amos Gray served in the War of 1812.
On 04 Nov 1834 Jesse married Amy Ann Applegate in Liberty, Trumbull, Ohio. Jesse and Amy moved the family first to Mercer Co, Pennsylvania in late 1830s, then to Berrien Co, Michigan in late 1840s, where the family settled.
Jesse and Amy had seven children:

After Amy died in 1862, Jesse remarried with Rhobe Arrena Taber on 29 June 1864 in Pipestone, Berrien Co, Michigan.
Jesse and Rhobe had two children:
