  Notes	Albert S. Kidd, the Santa Fe man whose back was broken while at work in the yards 10 days ago, died at the Sister's hospital in Los Angeles yesterday. Kidd was an employee of the stare (sic) department at the Santa Fe shops, and it was while unloading heavy poles in the yards, that he met with the accident which has terminated fatally. While a broken spinal column offers little hope for effort on the part of surgeons, the company took Kidd to Los Angeles at once, and in the Sister's hospital he had the best skill and attention that could be afforded, but after lingering 10 days, he expired. Several days ago the surgeons thought if he could stand the shock of being placed in a plaster cast, he might recover, but the suggestion was unavailing. (The Weekly Sun Friday Mar 15, 1901 P1)
