  Notes	In Andersonville Prison, Georgia, Oct. 31st, 1864, of scurvy, Mr. Charles H. Witter, son of Edwin P. and Mary Ann Witter, of Nile, Allegany Co., N. Y., aged 35 years and 6 months. He was taken prisoner at Plymouth, having served in the 85th N. Y. S. V. about two years. He professed religion several years ago, and united with the Seventh-day Baptist Church of Nile, and continued a faithful, living member, till his death.
