Notes |
- Jedediah was Captain of the Sloop Nancy and the Schooner Columbia from about 1806 until his ship was captured by the British some time during the War of 1812, he was taken captive to England. The log for the ship survived. There are no entries from Aug 1814 until Dec 1845, when it appears he is residing in Honeoye,NY---all the names are those of Honeoye residence of the era, who he apparently did work for and it is a listing of income from them(Artemas Briggs, John G. Briggs, Benjamin Briggs, Levi Noble, Jedediah Briggs, Jacob Shaw, Alinor More). He died unmarried in Honeoye,NY.
