Mr. Monell's father was one of the pioneers of this town, being the first settler to locate in Harrisburg Hollow, where he built a home in 1836. Deceased leaves one son, Robie Monell of this town, a granddaughter living in Prattsburgh and three grandchildren living in Elmira.
