  Notes	Death of Robert Stewart, of Bath at Four Score end Two. Death Saturday afternoon removed one of the oldest residents of Bath in the person of Robert Stewart, who passed away at his home on West Morris Street, at 2 o'clock, aged 82 years. Mr. Stewart had been in feeble health for a long time, but his death was unexpected at this time. He was sitting on the porch after dinner reading his paper as was his custom. He got up, walked into the kitchen and complained to his daughter of not feeling well. She helped him back to the bedroom, telling him he had better lie down. Before he was undressed, he expired. Heart failure is said to be the cause of his death. Mr. Stewart was born in Howard, October 4, 1819. In 1840 he removed to Bath and formed a co-partnership with T. K. Aber in the blacksmith business, and the firm of Stewart & Abet did business for over forty years. His wife died some years ago. One daughter, Mrs. Carrie Marsh, who lived with him; a son, Daniel J. Stewart, of Penn Yan; a sister, Mrs. Willard Preston, of Adrian, and a grandson, Robert Stewart, of Penn Yan, survive. Deceased was a member of the local lodge of Odd Fellows and was prominently identified with the interest of the order. (Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, Monday, August 12, 1901)
