- John H. Staley, Sr., died yesterday at the home of his son in Gloversville, aged 86 years. Mr. Staley was a brother of Jacob Staley, who lives a short distance west of Johnstown and was well known to residents of this village. He will be remembered* as the courageous nurse who did such wonderful work during the ravage of the small pox in 1881. The funeral will be held to-morrow at 10 A. M., from his son's residence in Gloversville.
