- Death of William Davison
William Davison of Livonia died at his home on Linden street, at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon. He had been confined to his bed with heart trouble for a week before his death, though he had been in failing health for some time and had not been able to go downtown for six weeks or more. Mr. Davison was born in Belfast, Ireland, and would have been 86 years old had he lived until Mar. 17th. He was 8 years of age when he came to this country with his parents, James and Jane Robinson Davison, who settled near Dennison's Corners, town of Richmond. Mr. Davison married Miss Mary Kuhn of Lancaster, N. Y. The couple came to Livonia about twenty-five years ago, and celebrated their golden wedding anniversary three years ago the 10th of last August. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, the Rev. William J. Brown, pastor of the Livonia Methodist church, officiating. Burial was in Union cemetery, Livonia. Besides his wife, Mr. Davison is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Frank Rector, of Livonia; three sons, Ross, Walter and John, all of Lima; one sister, Mrs. John B. Sleight, of Richmond, and seven grandchildren. Mr. Davison was a member of Livonia grange for a number of years.
