  Notes	On Saturday of last week, the grim angel of death visited Meeker Hollow and claimed for his own Mrs. Laura Chase, aged 71 years. Deceased was confined to the bed but a few days, though her health had been, poor for several months. The funeral was held Monday at the O. S. B. Church, Rev. Tallman C. Bookhout preaching the funeral sermon. The interment was in the cemetery near the O. S. B. Church. Mrs. Chase is survived by even children, Leoan, Clarence, William, James, Mrs. John Larkins, Mrs. Eliza Chase, and Mary Chase. Deceased was a relic of Harrison Chase, a veteran of the Civil War. She was not a member of any church organization but made a profession of religion some little time before her death. She was a woman of many excellent qualities, and during her last illness was cared for by Mrs. John Larkins with whom she had lived for several years.
