Notes - George W. Swan, for a number of years proprietor of the Livonia Hotel, and previous to that time a banker in Avon, died at the home of Sheridan Hubbard in Pavillion, last week Thursday evening, aged 78 years. We learn from the Avon Herald that he was born in Farmerville, Cattaraugus County, in 1824. He was married to Charlotte Gillette, with whom he lived until 1887, when she died. In 1889 he was married to Mrs. Delia B. Heath of Pavillion. He is survived by a wife, one son, Milton G. Swan, of Lancaster, Pa. and two sisters, Mrs. Harriet Beckwith of Hamburg, and Mrs. Charlotte Gordon of Oakfield, Erie County. The funeral was held Saturday morning at Pavillion, the Rev. Mr. Mason officiating, and the interment was in the Avon cemetery.
