  Notes	Savona, N.Y., March 24, 1888. February will long be remembered on West hill, for on that day death robbed us of one of the fairest and best of women, Dora D., wife of J. Stinson, and only child of J. and M. Gilette, aged eighteen years. Only ten months to the day had passed since she left her parents' home to become a wife and help to make a home of her own. Scarcely a day passed but she brightened her old home with her presence, if but for a few moments, and how much her mother misses her can only be known to those who have been placed as she is now, without a child. How well she did her part to make home pleasant for her husband could be seen by entering their once happy home; but, ah! how changed, for she lies cold in death, while we are left to mourn her loss. February 5 a baby boy entered their home and their cup of joy was full, but it was soon turned to sadness, for God saw fit to call dear Dora home. Before she died she called her husband and parents to her bedside and prayed God to bless them and entreated them not to mourn for her as dead, but gone before, and to meet her in heaven, and with a smile on her lips she closed her eyes and went to meet her Savior and God. Her death falls with crushing weight on her parents, for she was their all. Her husband has the sympathy of a host of friends. Her funeral was held at the West Hill church.
