Mrs. Thorne had been in falling health for about a year but for the past few weeks has failed rapidly.
She was 29 years of age, having been born in the town of Johnstown, but was a resident of this city for the last 15 years. The deceased was a woman of sterling qualities and had many friends all of whom will be grieved to learn of her death. She attended the Baptist church and was a member of the N. P. L. society, Rebekah lodge, and the Daughters of Liberty.
The surviving relatives are, her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Gardiner and two brothers, Arthur and Edward Gardiner of this city; also three sisters, Mrs. Olando Wemple of Fonda; Mrs. Claud Monk of this city; and Mrs. William Abel of Keck Center.
The funeral was held on Sunday at 2 o'clock from the house on Chase street and at 2:30 from the Baptist
church. Rev. Mr. C. H. Merrill officiated at the services after which the interment will be made in the Prospect Hill cemetery in Gloversville.
