Jonathan had earlier received land from his father, Daniel Lockwood, on December 11, 1738 (Stamford Deed D:122). This property is referenced in Daniel’s will.
Jonathan Lockwood’s will was made at Stamford on May 4, 1781, and probated October 11, 1781. He named: Wife: Freelove, Children: Ebenezer Lockwood, Titus Lockwood, Jonathan Lockwood, Hannah Lockwood, Charity Lockwood, Rachel Lockwood, Grandchildren: the four surviving children of his deceased son Timothy—David, Samuel, Timothy, and Deborah. Executrix: his wife, Freelove Witnesses: Moses Smith, Messenger Palmer, and James Nichols (P-6:172)
