    Battle of Queenston Heights October 1812
    Died/Killed during the battle or as a prisoner is not clear. His Captain, P. Ogilvie, and Major Mullany were confirmed prisoners and released with Gen Wadsworth and the walking wounded were released the next day. Apparently, David either died during the battle or was not fit to leave and later died of his wounds.

    US Army Enlistment records state there was a Pension Case associated with David Chase, of the 13th US Infantry, under "book 669"
