  Notes	Mrs. Mary Barrett was a native of New Hampshire, born in Hebron, Grafton County, New Hampshire, Aug 1, 1807, where she resided until 1814, when she removed with her parents, Ebenezer and Lydia Ferin to Erie County, New York. There she was married to George Barrett, Nov 1829. She came to Linn County, Iowa with her husband and family in 1857, and settled on the farm that was her home at the time of her death. She was the mother of 10 children, Phillip Barrett being her eldest son. She departed this life Tuesday morning, Dec 5, 1893, at the age of 86 years old. She is survived by 4 sons and 3 daughters, Phillip, Enos T, Manly and George Barrett, Mrs. Carl Bowen, Mrs. G D Gillian and Mrs. J A Wagor. Her husband and 3 children await her on the other shore. Funeral services were held at the Jordan's Grove Church Thursday Dec 7th. A large concourse of friends followed the remains to their last resting place in the Jordan's Grove Cemetery
