  Notes	1756, he was living in Hanover, Lancaster Co.,PA and listed on the tax list of Hanover as "fled" from the Indians. 1770 and 1772 tax list in Paxtang, Lancaster Co.,PA. 1777Mar22 - Purchased 340 acres land in Derry township, (then Northumberland Co.), land records state he is from Torbut. Bought from James Willson- land transferred to his five sons in his will of 1788. Land was describe as being on the headwaters of the east branch of Chillisquaque Creek. His son, David, stated in his Rev War Pension records that he lived at the headwaters of the Chillisquaque Creek about a mile and a half south of the Indian path that leads to Muncy Creek. 1781-1787 taxed in Northumberland Co.,PA.
