Maynard" aged 47, Almond NY, with wife, Samantha and son Clarence. 1913 "Sylvanus Maynard" death notice newspaper Klipknocky, May 19—Word was received here Friday of the death Sylvanus Maynard. Mr. Maynard with his wife and son were residents of this place for over nine years until last April when he moved family to Montrose, Pa., where he obtained work in a lumber camp. Maynard was 52 years old and died after a weeks illness of pneumonia, April 30. 1913 (Evening Tribune-Times, Hornell NY, Wednesday, May 21, 1913) Not to be confused with the Cornelius Meritt Spencer, of Grove and Portage (s/o Samuel and Mary Spencer), b.1858 married Nettie Alvord. These are two different person - both are found separate census records 1865, 1875, 1880.
